— Our Mithila, our responsibility.

Chhaya Mithila Foundation is more than an organization — it is a promise kept to the children, women, and elders of the Mithila region.

Founded in Janakpur with the conviction that lasting change comes from within communities, not from above them, CMF works at the quiet edges of Nepal — where a girl's education hangs on the cost of a notebook, where a grandmother's dignity depends on a roof that doesn't leak, where a village's future is shaped by access to clean water.

We do not parachute in with solutions. We sit on woven mats. We listen. We co-design every program with local leaders, schools, mothers' groups, and panchayat representatives — because the people closest to the problem are also closest to the answer.

Our work spans rural education, women's empowerment, humanitarian relief, health awareness, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. Every rupee given, every hour volunteered, every voice raised — becomes a thread in the larger weave of Mithila's transformation.

Rooted in Community

Every program co-designed with the people it serves. No imported solutions.
